New Articles: Powering Maps API v3 Apps with MySQL

The Google Maps API v3, our new lightweight version of the JavaScript API, has been out for a few months now, and we want to help developers use this API with server-side scripting and databases. So, we've added an articles section to the documentation with three new articles:

"Creating a Mobile Store Locator" shows how to query a database for stores near a user's location, and how to present that in a nice mobile-friendly webpage.

"Using PHP/MySQL with Google Maps" shows how to pull data from a SQL database as XML and display that on the map.

"From InfoWindows to a Database: Saving User-Added Form Data" shows you how to enable users to add geo-tagged information to a database via your map application.

We've also added links to articles from developer Gabriel Svennerberg, who has started a series on Maps API v3 and is in the process of writing a book.
